Did you know that Chris Wood who came so close to scoring a goal near the end of the game is an ex pupil of our school? He attended Royal Oak until Year 5 when his family shifted to Hamilton. Check out the photo of him in his last class, a Year 5/6 composite in room 22 in 2001. (It is on the Sport noticeboard)

I got up to watch the final game early this morning and felt really excited when I saw Chris Wood.I don't really know him but you almost feel as if you do when you know he has been at our school! Our All Whites did a wonderful job for our country and it is a good lesson in sportsmanship to know we can still be proud even when we lose. They certinly gave their best and were better than before.
