The sun came out this morning as our teams had their first games in their new grades. The opposition was tough and our girls of course hadn't played together for four weeks but their attitude was determined. As the games progressed so did our combinations. Congratulations on your effort.

Year 5/6 Sport Exchange Tuesday 10 August

We will be playing Meadowbank on this day.

Both of our rugby teams will travel to play against Meadowbank at College Rifles Rugby grounds.

Cross Country Training

We were very fortunate to have fine weather for our first training run in the park. All the children now know the area and surface they will be running on so it would be great if they could find the time to go to the park to practise with somebody. It is safer to be in the park with an adult.

Thank you to our human cones it is important we have helpers both for encouragement and safety.

We want to now see the physical activity in the home learning reflecting training towards cross country.

Firstly it is our turn for ground duty this week which means all girls need to take a turn at being rubbish collectors.

Congratulations

The first round of competition is over and both teams can be extremely proud of their efforts.

Our Year 6 team came third in the B grade where there were eleven teams competing. They will now play in the A grade for the second round of the championship.

The Year 5 team came first equal in the C grade and they have moved up to the B grade for the second round.

How is your holiday training going? It has been such great weather this week I am sure you have been able to get out and about to exercise.

Remember on Tuesday 20 we are running in the park. You will require shorts, suitable running shoes and your water bottle as well as of course a sweat shirt to put on after the run.
