Cross Country Winners

We were indeed fortunate to have our Year 5 and 6 children compete in their cross country race today. Although the ground was wet underfoot it remained fine throughout.
It was outstanding to witness our children supporting and encouraging every child from the first person to the last.
Our winners were
Year 6 Tevita and Kendall
Year 5 Jack and Imelda

Cross Country Tuesday
Another fabulous day for a run in the park. Today the ground was much drier than last time which made for easier running.
We are impressed with just how many children have obviously maintained their fitness during the holidays. It is important the children continue to train so they can do their very best at our race on Friday 12 August.
Thank you to our 'parent cones' who have encouraged the children as they have passed.
A reminder there will be winter sport in school next Tuesday 9 August.

Tuesday 12 July Cross Country
We have our first cross country practice in the park on Tuesday 12 July at 1:40.
Children must wear shoes suitable for running, have shorts to change into for the run and bring a sweat shirt and water bottle.
We aim to leave school at 1:45, walk up to the paddock behind the Observatory, run around the course and then return to school before 2:50.
Parents who have volunteered to help, please meet us at school or in the park. Make yourself known to Jenni Jamieson so you can be given your map and a guide on what to do, thanks.
